BYO
MOUNTAIN BIKES: There are some great mountain biking and cycling tracks in Kapiti - bring your bike if you can.
Easy riding north to Waikanae's beach cafes via the estuary broadwalk and river trail or south into nearby QE Park or to the fabulous Whareroa Farm with it's great downhill track.
SURF BOARD: The occasional surfable waves arrive at the beach below - so a surfboard or a SUP if you have one.
FISHING GEAR: When the seas are calm you can often see schools of fish in feeding frenzies from the deck. So your own fishing gear would be a great addition to your holiday.
KAYAK: Walk your kayak through Hoby's Way and launch via the Poplar Ave/Esplanade ramp down to the beach and quietly paddle your way from the shoreline.
TENNIS: Local courts are a minute away and free to use.
Non-smoking accommodation.
There is something special about being close to water, wide expanses of sea and sky, living with open doors, broad horizons and the sound of the sea.
